But, even if it is in some sort of order and you don't suffer from anxiety every time you want to find that one special photo to show your family, chances are your photo albums, slide boxes and negative files take up a lot of space.

It is common that if disaster strikes, like a flood or fire, most people will mourn the loss of their family photos more than the loss of their home. A home can be replaced, but a lifetime of photos can't be. For this reason, we always suggest you have your scanned photos stored on two hard-drives, each stored in a different location. This also prevents a disaster if one drive fails or is corrupted.

NB: Due to the limited lifespan of ALL computer storage devices, we recommend that your hard-drives be backed up and replaced every five or six years.
